Individual Psychotherapy

I provide integrative individual psychotherapy to adolescents and adults. In our individual therapy sessions, I meet you exactly as you are to determine a personalized treatment approach that meets your unique needs. I have extensive training in a variety of therapeutic approaches and techniques and continuously seek educational opportunities to grow as a therapist. I will be curious about who you are and how your relationships, your family, your community, and your identities have shaped you. I will use various techniques to develop and strengthen your resources. The following therapy approaches will be interwoven into our individual psychotherapy work:

Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

Psychodynamic therapy helps you gain a deeper understanding of yourself by exploring how past experiences, relationships, and unconscious patterns may influence your current thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through self-reflection and a supportive therapeutic relationship, we work together to explore recurring patterns and increase insight.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness involves learning to pay attention to the present moment with openness and curiosity rather than judgment. By increasing awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations, mindfulness can help reduce stress, improve emotional regulation, and foster a greater sense of balance and well-being.

Attachment- Based Psychotherapy

Attachment-based therapy explores how early relationships and life experiences shape the way you connect with yourself and others. By understanding relationship patterns and attachment styles, you can develop healthier, more secure connections and improve your emotional well-being.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT helps you identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that may be contributing to emotional distress. This practical, goal-oriented approach can help you develop healthier coping strategies and improve your mood, relationships, and daily functioning.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a trauma treatment that alleviates emotional distress associated with challenging memories. This approach follows a specific treatment protocol that aims to reduce disturbing emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations associated with the memory.
